The Prince And The Prisoner 01
"Hurry up, you dumb, limbed bitch!" The arbok guard escorting me yelled. "I thought legs were supposed to make you faster." I swear, if my hands weren't chained behind my back, I'd use my sharp claws to tear him apart, but I've seen what happened to a prisoner who tried to fight back. Those who did as they were told had a chance to become a slave, while anyone who acted defiantly were brutally killed in front of the others. Hell, the other day I saw two parents get executed in front of their kits. Sometimes I saw the male guards take a female prisoner away and when they'd come back, the female talked of being used by the gaurd. "Stop here, vermin." The guard said as he stopped in front of a large door. In front of the door, was a large female seviper with a green tail blade. I knew royalty when I saw it.
"Is this the slave I requested for my son?" She asked.

Chapter One: Meeting Nicole
I woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside my cave. It was late march, so it was finally getting warmer out. "Sleeping late again?" a flaffy remarked from the other side of the cave, shaking her head in disappointment.
"Shut up, sis." I mumbled after bringing a yellow paw up to shield my eyes from the light of the morning sun. Another paw reached for a pile of berries I kept by my nest only to come up empty.
"You ran out of berries last night," my sister said, "remember?"
"Thanks for the reminder, Vivian," I sarcastically yawned, getting up and rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. I wandered out of my home and started making my way towards the nearby berry grove that grows by the stream. After about ten minutes of walking, I got to the grove and started picking Oran berries to eat. Personally, I prefer Cheri berries, but those are harder to come by in this part of the forest. As I ate I let my thoughts wander since I was safe from predation wh

"So you say some sniper killed him to shut him up?" General Peterson said skeptically beside me as we heard the news about our recent lack of a lead. I was a little shocked myself.
"Or he tried to shoot one of my men and missed." Sixx replied over video feed in MTAC from him and his men on the USS Enterprise. "Look, me and my team are sorry you didn't get your arms dealer, but we did get you that coded message. What more could we get you? A hug? Because I will give you one if I have to." That last part brought back memories of last Christmas. And hitting. That was the last time Sixx was allowed to drink eggnog with alcohol on base.
"Why do I put up with you?" The general sighed. That was a good question. "This isn't some kind o

SolaceShe never slept well in the dark,
not without the children of the sun and moon
to guide her weary lids home.
Guided by the aftermath, she was always two steps behind.
What did the world look like to the girl who had been through it all?
Braved the heaviest of storms,
yet skipping over cracks in the pavement.
They said her eyes were the wisps of clouds before the storm.
To him they were reflections of pages overlooked.
She said it was like she lived the life of someone she had never met.
Laid out to dry, yesterdays news.
He knew her as the girl who was built to never collapse.
He wished he was too.
He loved her more than words could say, and yet her pain was such,
that at times, he feared she wouldn’t make it.
But on nights like these, even when it threatened to consume her,
he became convinced that somehow she would.
